CarboCountCity

This project aimed at bringing together international and local scientists and engineers to quantify the emissions of the large urban area of Recife, Brazil. Two continuous measurement stations tracking CO₂, methane and carbon monoxide have been successfully installed. In order to derive emission estimates from these measurements, an inversion framework was created by developing a map of Recife's emissions and subsequently modeling these atmospheric carbon conditions.
